Comes already finished with an oil based outdoor finish. Accompanied by simple assembly instructions & necessary hardware.

Helpful Swing Maintenance Tips: If you plan to have this swing out in the weather, sitting on the grass, etc. you may want to consider treating the bottom of your swing posts. We don't finish the bottom of the posts because even our oil based finish doesn't hold up well against dirt and grass. We suggest you soak the bottom 1/2" or so of your swing posts in motor oil for about a day. The oil will saturate the wood and seal it so it will last longer. You won't notice any of the slight discoloration because the posts will be sitting down in the grass.
